Recycled Substrates Alpha is always being asked about green products and the best "earth friendly" applications or products to use for mounting and laminating. Well... here it is: Illustration board and Ecolo Board are made from 100% recycled paper and are 100% biodegradable. They are acid free as well. Adhesives that are water based (which means they are not rubber or acrylic based) are the most earth friendly. However, they do take time to biodegrade but they eventually do. They also DO NOT pollute the ozone when they are being manufactured as the other types of adhesives do. We can offer one of the best water based adhesives on the market. It may cost a few cents more but it does save the environment. Lamination does not offer the same type of environmentally friendly material...yet. If you want to remain eco-friendly then do not laminate your project. We are pushing for more environmentally friendly laminates. |
